Once a quarter, or sooner if needed, the women from our Encouragement Ministry at my church get together and make birthday, wedding shower, baby shower, get well and encouragement cards. Last week we got together to make birthday cards. We needed enough cards to cover birthdays through January. There were 7 or 8 of us and we ended up making 56 cards in about 2 hours. These ladies rock!
I have so much fun getting together with these ladies. It’s wonderful to watch them make these cards, especially those who have never stamped before. I love to see their enthusiasm and joy when they realize that they can do it!
I tried to use retired colors and ribbons for these cards. It definitely challenges me when I have to stay within a certain color scheme or certain set of supplies. I’m more of a free spirit and don’t like restrictions!!!
Think this one is my favorite of the 4 cards. I was inspired by a card made by Carrie Gaskin. I can’t find it on her blog now, but you should take a look at the other things she has created!
This is my second favorite, and my design. :0) I think I’ll try it again with current colors. This one is in Mellow Moss and Dusty Durango. I’m thinking maybe Cajun Craze and Old Olive…
This is a super fast and super cute card. I love using my aqua painter. I could sit all day and just paint card after card. I must not have done enough coloring when I was but a young lass…..
I was inspired by a demonstrator named Debbie Henderson for this card. I don’t know where I found her card so I can’t share the link, sorry!
Thanks for looking!
