September Club Cards

I can’t believe it’s been 3 weeks since my last post!  Sorry about.  As my brother would say…I’ve been OBE.  Overcome By Events!  I have a lot of catching up to do so now you’ll be saying, “How many times a day is she going to post?” instead of “Is she ever going to post again?”

Here’s a look at the September club cards.  I showed 2 different types of special fold cards.

I so totally stole this from my upline Mandy Grant!  She made this swap for convention and I though it was perfect as a Club card.  You can find the tutorial to make a slider card here.

There is so many wonderful things in the Holiday Mini that it was hard to decide what to get.  Cuz you just can’t get it all!

I Love the Ornament punch and the matching Delightful Decorations stamp set from the Holiday Mini catalog.  So that’s what I picked!  And let’s face it, wouldn’t you rather punch something out rather than cut it out? This is what we made with it.  Not only is it a card but it makes a cute display during the Christmas season.

Now, I was just going to post pictures, but my friend and fellow demo, Shannon told everyone, at Gifts Galore, that I would be posting directions on how to make it.  Actually I told her I would post the directions, she just told everyone about it to keep me honest!  :0)

The Old Olive base is made with 2 different pieces of cardstock.

  • 1 - 4 1/4 x 11
  • 1 - 5 x 4 1/4
  • Score long side of 11” piece at: 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 4 1/4, 6 & 8 1/2

You’ll need 3 pieces of Whisper White and a scrap to punch out Oval Scallop sentiment.

  • 1 - 4 5/8
  • 1 - 1 1/2
  • 1 - 1 1/8

Using the Delightful Decorations stamp set, stamp the ornament stamp, in Whisper White ink, randomly over all 3 pieces of WW cardstock.  Heat emboss with Iridescent Ice.  You could use a VersaMark pad instead but the Whisper White craft ink gives the embossed ornament more texture.

Adhere largest piece of WW cardstock to smaller piece of Old Olive.  Then adhere it to the largest piece of Old Olive (after you fan fold it on the score lines), at the 4 1/4 & 6” score lines.  If you look at the above picture the largest piece of Old Olive and WW piece standing up are not part of the scored piece but adhered to it.

Stamp 3 of the 4 different ornaments in the set on Old Olive, Real Red, & Crushed Curry cardstock, using Whisper White craft ink.  After craft ink dries, punch them out using the Ornament punch.  Adhere randomly on the card using Dimensionals.  Use Silver or Gold cording to dress up the ornaments, tie a piece of 3/4” Polka Dot grosgrain ribbon around card, add your sentiment and you’re done!

Thanks for looking!
