**Disclaimer - I am way behind on my blog! My convention posts are written like it’s happening now and I’m too far behind and too lazy to change everything, so pretend it all just happened! Thanks for your patience!!!
Also, let me back up to last night! That was our awards night and you can’t get all gussied up and not take a few pictures. Oops! just realized I mixed up our dinners out! We ate at the Melting Pot tonight and the hotel restaurant last night. Sorry about that, it’s all been a blur!
This is my new friend Rose-Ellen. She walked across stage for having 20K in sales. I’m so glad I met her, and I think she is just too funny and also very brave.
Aren’t we just gorgeous!
OK, now I can start on Day 3…..
I would like to say I was up and out the door at 5:15am this morning, but I wasn’t. :0( My knees were swelling so I paced myself. I let Amanda and Mandy get up early and wait in line and run for the front! Wasn’t that nice of me. ;0) Jackie slept in, but had no excuse (shame on you!) I woke up at 7:30 and realized I had promised them coffee and was late. We threw clothes on and headed for Starbucks and then the convention hall. Of course we had great seats saved for us, down front! Thanks Mandy & Amanda!!!
Lots more dancing, swapping, great product demonstration, and card ideas. After lunch we headed for my favorite class - Make & Takes! We received a packet full of all sorts of goodies to make everything from cards to scrapbook pages. Stampin’ Up! provides everything you need to make your projects. All you have to do is bring the stamp sets they gave you at check-in!
We head for a table and get to work. Next thing you know this very, very, very tall man is walking by our table carrying his own Make & Take packet. Mandy just carved out a spot at our table and asked him to join us.
If you’re not a sports fan, you’ll never guess who this is….His height gives away what sport he was in. :0)
This is Thurl Bailey, #41 of the Utah Jazz. He is on the board of directors for Stampin’ Up!. I’ve seen him from afar the past couple of years, but this is the first time I’ve actually met him. He is the nicest guy, and very brave to stamp with a table full of women!
Mandy was the perfect teacher! The rest of us just kept watching while pretending not to…..
If you’ll notice, he is tying a knot on his card. For all of you out there that complain about ribbon tying and that it’s to hard, you have no excuse now! I can’t believe he actually
got it tied! I mean look at those hands!
Here’s me, pretending it’s not a big deal stamping next to this guy…..
Of course, if you ask anyone else at the table, they’ll tell you I got absolutely nothing done!
This is just one of the shirts Mandy designed and made for us. Thanks Mandy!!!
Well, that’s about it for day 3. Only 1 more day and then I promise to move on. Say, to Gifts Galore!
