Free Stamps!!!

Well, I was cleaning out my stamp room and sorting out my retiring stamp sets and thought, hhhmmm, why not have a sale?  Now, I know I can’t sell off used sets until they’re retired (which is in 4 days when the NEW 2009/2010 Idea Book & Catalog comes out!),  but, I can give them away…..

I’m having a 3 Day Sale.  For every $50 of Stampin’ Up! merchandise you purchase you can pick a stamp set (of any value) from my retired/retiring stash.  Sale ends midnight June 30th!  Online orders only, please.  :0)

Place your order and then email me with your pick.  Don’t delay!  You might miss out on your pick.  Below is the list of stamps that I have.  If they were retired before the current catalog, I’ll list which catalog they were in last, or just contact me for info on the set.

This list includes both new and used stamp sets.

Bring your friends together and stamp every month at my house, for 6 months, with each person getting a chance to be the “Hostess”.  You choose what you’d like your club to be.  Learning new techniques, new card ideas, 3-D projects, scrapbook layouts, the choice is up to you.  Just let me know what you would like to do each month. I will supply everything needed to complete cards or projects each month.

Benefits for this club are the same as above but will meet every month and runs for only 6 months.

Catalog Sneak Peek

The new Stampin’ Up! 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog will be available July 1st.  Contact me today to reserve your copy!

I’ve already looked at mine cover to cover, quite a few times!  With yellow highlighter in hand I sat down the first night and….well, let’s just say I need a new highlighter!  There’s lots of wonderful stamps, accessories & dies.  Not that I’m surprised.

I received my preorder the other day and just had to play around.  I needed to make swaps for our demonstrator unit meeting and these are ones I came up with.

This card is made with the new In Color – Crushed Curry classic ink, card stock, & Polka Dot grosgrain, also Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper

I used the Jumble Alphabet, also from the new catalog.  What a great alphabet set!  It has both lowercase & uppercase letters, but none of them are in the same font.

For this one I used Rich Razzleberry classic ink, cardstock & Polka Dot grosgrain, also Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series paper.

I love getting together with our unit, L-Inked Together.  We have a great time swapping cards, talking stamping,  learning something new, & exchanging ideas.  You should join us!

Tomorrow I’ll  post the swaps I received that use items from the new catalog.

Stamp Club Card

Well, it’s time again.  I can’t believe how fast time flies.  6 months has come and gone and now it’s time to form new Stamp Clubs!

Here is the final card for stamp club.  I don’t think the ladies were very happy with how many times they had to run the dies through the Big Shot!  I did make it up by giving them an easy 3d item for their other project.

P1060345 copy

I took this card straight from the June Stampin’ Success magazine.  It was created by Patricia Giesbrecht a demonstrator in Canada.  The only thing I changed was the Barely Banana back ground ink to So Saffron.

I made the Top Note first and then ran it and the base through the Big Shot with the Flourish Texturz plate.  Sponge both pieces with So Saffron ink.  I sponged the base darker for more depth.  Now comes the work…..You’ll need 2 large, 1 medium, and 1 small dark flower.  Then 1 large, 1 medium, and 1 small light flower.  2 scribble swirly’s and 2 leaves.  Sponge all flowers, around the edge, with Elegant Eggplant, and Old olive for the leaves.  Use your bone folder to curl flowers and leaves.

  • Ink – So Saffron & Elegant Eggplant
  • Paper – Whisper White, Old Olive, Lovely Lilac, & Elegant Eggplant
  • Stamps – None! (I know, I can’t believe it either)
  • Accessories – So Saffron striped grosgrain, sponges, Fire rhinestones, Big Shot dies: Birds & Blooms, Top note, Scribbles Swirly, and Flourish Texturz plate, slot punch

Thanks for looking.  My next post will have information about Stamp Clubs that are now forming.

Stampin’ Up! Order

I know, it’s not a card, but I couldn’t help posting these pictures of my “helpers”.  :0)

My daughter likes to help me sort my orders when they come in and put them in the bags.  This works great for me, I don’t have to do all that bending over!

I pay her .50 an order to help me.  As soon as she gets a $1 she wants to go to the Dollar Spot…

This is my new helper.  I don’t pay him.  He has a tendency to lay around, a lot!  But, he’s very good at making sure the piles don’t go anywhere.

Thanks for looking.

Man Card Samples

Here are samples from the class I’m holding this weekend.  I’m so glad they’re not retiring the “To The Nines” Specialty Paper!  This is the perfect paper for creating masculine cards.  Especially if the men in your life aren’t into sports, hunting, fishing, or mowing the lawn! Like mine. :0)

P1050979 copy

The color is a little off on this card.  The base is Sage Shadow and matches the stripes on the specialty paper, but it just doesn’t look like it here.

P1050984 copy

I used my Scor-pal (which I can’t live without) to add a little texture to the card.  The brads and twine are great for manly “bling”.  I don’t care what anyone says, every card needs a little bling!

P1050990 copyP1050991 copy

I used 2 3x3 envelopes to make this booklet.  There is space on the left to add a picture and on the opposite page you can write what makes your dad great.  The 2 pull out cards can be used as coupons (free carwash, sleeping in etc), or for more pictures.
