I can't go a week without stamping, and we just got back from a week long camping trip. So what did I do? I created a class for the campground!
I had to figured out something I could make that was camping related. Since I had just cleaned out the Dollar Spot at Target, I thought "hey, something with a tin"! So, I decided to make a citronella candle holder. I tried to use only items that would weather well... It's also cute enough for your patio or even indoors.
I used the Crop-a-dile (just the best tool ever!) to punch holes around the bucket. Tie ribbon through 2 holes and insert Flower Fusion felt flower with a Hodgepodge brad in the holes between the ribbon.
Stamp bucket with Stazon ink. It's a little tricky because the stamp wants to slip and you're stamping on a curve. I sort of "rocked" the stamp across the bucket. Don't worry if you mess up, Stazon cleaner lets you wipe it right off! Careful, the Stazon will smear until it dries. Once it's dry it won't come off in the rain or even if you wash it.
I would put sand or gravel in the bottom to give it some weight, then add a candle and you're ready to go!
- Flower Fusion Too, 1" Dbl Stitch Baja Breeze & Chocolate Chip grosgrain. Hodgepodge brads, Crop-a-dile, Stazon ink & cleaner
- Tin Bucket & Citronella candle
We camp at Indian Creek Campground every year and I think it's the best campground east of the Mississippi! If you live anywhere near Cherokee, NC it's worth the trip.
Ok, so I just have to add pictures of the campground! Every time we go I don't want to come back. :0)
This was our site. We camp with all the amenities! My son is taking a break from the hard work of camping...
